Dr. Cynthia G. Quiambao attended a coordination meeting with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officers (MSWDOs) from the 17 municipalities of Tarlac Province, together with Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office Head Ms. Elena Jalos, on January 16, 2025, at Auditorium 1, Moncada Public Plaza.
During the meeting, Dr. Quiambao presented updates on Project START-UP (Sustainable Training Assistance and Revitalized Teaching – Upskilling Performance), which will be implemented this year in eight municipalities: Anao, Gerona, Moncada, Paniqui, Pura, Ramos, San Manuel, and Victoria. The project aims to strengthen the quality of services in Child Development Centers by equipping Child Development Workers (CDWs) with updated knowledge, practical strategies, and relevant teaching approaches.
She also shared updates on Project START+: Advancing the Capacity of Child Development Workers Across All Municipalities, an expanded initiative that will be implemented in the municipalities of Mayantoc, San Jose, Camiling, San Clemente, La Paz, Santa Ignacia, Bamban, and Concepcion. Project START+ seeks to deliver a structured series of capacity development activities designed to address the priority competency gaps of Child Development Workers.
In addition, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer of Tarlac City expressed openness and interest in establishing future partnerships, demonstrating strong support for collaborative initiatives that will further enhance programs and services for daycare children.
