TSU-CCS Empowers LARA Driving School with Website Hosting and Domain Registration Assistance

From May 1, 2023, to June 30, 2023, the Tarlac State University - College of Computer Studies conducted a Domain Registration and Website Hosting project for LARA Driving School in Barangay Ligtasan, Tarlac City. The primary goal of this initiative was to provide guidance to the beneficiary in registering a domain name and hosting their newly developed website, which would enable their company to establish a strong online presence and offer high-quality information and services to clients.

Leading this extension activity were faculty service experts from the College of Computer Studies at Tarlac State University, namely Ms. Regina P. Arceo, Ms. Xylyn Joy P. Abrajano, and Prof. Dennis Y. Virtudazo. With their assistance, they successfully carried out their designated tasks, contributing to the overall success of the extension activity.

The actual accomplishment of the team:

  • They met with the beneficiary to initiate the registration of the website's domain and hosting and presented the Phase 3 Proposal.
  • They assisted the beneficiary in selecting and purchasing the most suitable hosting and domain application for the organization's needs.
  • They presented the final website, which was uploaded to the internet with the chosen domain name.
  • The team provided training to the beneficiary on how the website functions and how to maintain it.
  • The website was officially handed over to the beneficiary for utilization by the organization's staff and customers.

Additionally, on May 13, 2023, Ms. Regina P. Arceo, a Faculty Service Expert from the BS Information Technology Department, presented the initial website of LARA Driving School at the Silayan Center, Barangay Ligtasan, Tarlac City, and provided training on how to operate and maintain the website.

On June 2, 2023, the team conducted a virtual turnover and presented the official website of LARA Driving School via the Zoom application. They guided the beneficiary through the domain registration and hosting process for their newly developed website, which would be officially used by the organization's staff and customers.

This extension activity is expected to significantly benefit the staff and employees of LARA Driving School by enhancing their data management capabilities and improving work productivity. The ultimate objective of this project is to aid the beneficiary in establishing hosting and domain name registration for their newly created website, enabling the organization to build a credible online presence and provide exceptional products and services to its customers.
