A three-month project partnership concluded with a culminating activity held last Tuesday, June 27, 2023. Grade three pupils, together with their volunteer tutors, were invited to the said activity to showcase their improvement in reading through a presentation. The said activity demonstrated the pupils' remarkable breakthroughs in reading comprehension.
Together with SCIS school principal, Dr. Lilibeth B. Policarpio, and their respective grade 3 advisers, Ms. Sarah B. Quiton, Ms. Maan S. Cabalu, Ms. Aileen Y. Domingo, Ms. Purisima B. Magat, Ms. Janice D. Galang, Ma. Consolacion B. Paran, Ms. Dinah Thea P. Mecate, and Mr. Ahmed S. Quiballo, Sto. Cristo Integrated School prepared the said activity to serve as a closing ceremony for the successful tutorial session.
Present during the culminating activity were the TSU-College of Education Dean, Dr. Jasper Jay N. Mendoza, together with the college chairpersons, Dr. Mellany Masangkay, Dr. Joanne Marie I. Escalona, and Prof. Paulo Xavier Samson. Of course, behind the hard-working team of the tutorial session were Dr. Jeanette M. Baquing (Extension Chairperson/Project Head), Mr. Lyndon Macanas (English Faculty/Co-Project Head), Ms. Melody P. Sapad (BEED Faculty), Ms. Mary Joyce Yu, and Ms. Frincess Flores (English Faculty), Ms. Ivy Joy T. Gabriel and Ms. Jenny P. Rafael (Technical Assistants).
From the It Takes a Heart Association Inc., there were Dr. Godofredo Dungca (Board of Directors ITHA), Ms. Wilma Salvador (Board of Directors ITH, In-charge of education), Ms. Sukey De Ocampo-Alovera, and Ms. Carmela Prado.
Furthermore, the TSU-College of Education, Sto. Cristo Integrated School, and the It Takes a Heart Association Inc., look forward to more projects benefiting the youth, and this will be the start of an enhanced partnership for the three institutions.
