HEAL the world project session 4: strives to promote environmental awareness and learning

Tarlac State University's International Affairs and Linkages Office, together with the College of Education and the Office of the University Extension Services, successfully organized the fourth session of the HEAL the World project on June 10, 2023. This initiative aims to promote environmental awareness and learning by engaging participants from various sectors in a webinar workshop series. The recent session focused on highlighting sectors that play a crucial role in mitigating environmental issues. Renowned researcher Mr. Jacob Gyobeom Kim from the Korea Environment Institute delivered an extensive lecture, emphasizing the contributions of the government, business and finance, technology, and the private sector in achieving a greener world. Notably, he highlighted best practices and cases implemented by the Ministry of Environment and Local Government in Korea.

During his presentation, Mr. Kim underscored the importance of advocating for sustainable practices and striving for net zero greenhouse gas consumption. The business and finance sectors were highlighted for their efforts in adopting an environment-centered approach, while the technology and private sectors were recognized for their energy-saving activities both at home and in the broader community.

The HEAL the World webinar workshop series will conclude with its final session scheduled for July 8, 2023. In this last session, participants will gain valuable knowledge and practical strategies to create a more sustainable future.

To ensure maximum learning, all participants are required to complete the entire series and submit the necessary outputs. The HEAL the World project extends an open invitation to individuals from all backgrounds, including educators, students, environmental enthusiasts, and concerned citizens, to actively participate in this free event. Through their involvement, they can contribute significantly to preserving the planet for future generations.
