COE conducts outreach program for Brgy. Ungot

The College of Engineering has conducted a two-part outreach and extension program with their chosen beneficiary, Barangay Ungot, on August 11, 2023.

With the aim to assist and extend help to the community, COE faculty members from the Civil Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering Departments collaborated in the provision and distribution of 200 food packs and in the facilitation of the feeding program with the beneficiaries.

The Faculty Volunteers, under the leadership of the Dean of COE Engr. Marie Wendy Frany, along with Engr. Susa Nina Sapad, Engr. Randy Policarpio, Engr. Charmaine Czenina Reguindin, Engr. Maan Florendo, Engr. Enalyn Domingo, Engr. Mark Benz Pineda, Engr. Ann Jeannette Lopez, Engr. Joycelyn Cabuang, Engr. Anna Angeles, Engr. Ma. Victoria Rodriguez, Engr. Shaye Caroline Manlupig, and Engr. Angelica Pangilinan and Ms. Pinky Dela Cruz, have ensured the success of this initiative.

Meanwhile, Engr. Frany expressed her commitment for community assistance with Barangay Ungot and mentioned that this would only be the beginning towards future projects.

"Hindi po dito nagtatapos ang aming pagtulong sa inyo. Makakaasa po kayo na babalik kami dito,” the dean said during her opening remarks.

Moreover, this extension activity was in collaboration with the Tamogepa Service Cooperative's members as the cooperating and funding agency.

As the activity concluded, the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the dedicated faculty volunteers. 

This extension activity of the College of Engineering contributes to Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 2: Zero Hunger since this activity allows the beneficiaries to improve and sustain their nutrition, food security, and health.
