DAR Tarlac taps TSU CET for professional assistance and technical consultancy

On June 1, 2023, a professional assistance and technical consultancy entitled: “Technical Consultancy on the Preparation of Electrical Plan with Bill of Materials (BOM) of a Food-Safety Compliant Facility Layout for Cabayaosan Farmers Agriculture Cooperative (CFAC)” was conducted at Brgy. Cabayaosan, Paniqui, Tarlac. Tarlac State University – College of Engineering and Technology collaborated with the Department of Agrarian Reform – Tarlac to successfully implement the aforementioned activity.

On June 1, 2023, a professional assistance and technical consultancy entitled: “Technical Consultancy on the Preparation of Electrical Plan with Bill of Materials (BOM) of a Food-Safety Compliant Facility Layout for Cabayaosan Farmers Agriculture Cooperative (CFAC)” was conducted at Brgy. Cabayaosan, Paniqui, Tarlac. Tarlac State University – College of Engineering and Technology collaborated with the Department of Agrarian Reform – Tarlac to successfully implement the aforementioned activity.

Expert Service Providers (ESPs) from Electrical Engineering Department started this extension activity through an onsite visit represented by Engr. Maan Florendo and Engr. Cid Lapuz on January 12, 2023, at Brgy. Cabayaosan, Paniqui, Tarlac, and meetings with other faculty experts to discuss the scope and deliberation of the project to the beneficiary and partner agency. Afterwards, ESPs checked the production layout developed by the Industrial Engineering Department and the floor plan and roof framing plan designed by the Civil Engineering Department. Upon obtaining these details, the ESPS had discussions, table works, and brainstorming for the electrical design analysis, preparation of lighting layout, and other layouts, even the electrical design was drafted using AutoCAD. On June 1, 2023, Engr. Taduran, as the representative of the Electrical Engineering Department, joined the other Engineering Department to discuss and to present the outputs to the partner agency, the Department of Agrarian Reform – Tarlac, and beneficiary, Cabayaosan Farmers Agriculture Cooperative (CFAC).

This extension activity of CET – Electrical Engineering Department contributes to Sustainable Development Goals (SDG); SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure since this activity allows the beneficiary to improve their production and processing facilities and SDG 17: Partnership for the Goals by establishing connections between TSU, DAR, and Cabayaoasan Farmer Agriculture Cooperative.
