CET holds a technical consultancy at Cabayaosan, Paniqui

Tarlac State University (TSU) – College of Engineering and Technology – Civil Engineering Department (CET – CE) conducted a professional assistance and technical consultancy entitled: “Technical Consultancy on the Preparation of Architectural, Structural, and Plumbing Plans with Bill of Materials (BOM) of a Food-Safety Compliant Facility Layout for Cabayaosan Farmers Agriculture Cooperative (CFAC)” held on June 1, 2023, at Cabayaosan, Paniqui, Tarlac. Its ultimate purpose was to improve the production and processing facilities of the mushroom chicharon of the beneficiaries, the Cabayaosan Farmers Agriculture Cooperative, and to apply for license to operate legally.

Tarlac State University (TSU) – College of Engineering and Technology – Civil Engineering Department (CET – CE) conducted a professional assistance and technical consultancy entitled: “Technical Consultancy on the Preparation of Architectural, Structural, and Plumbing Plans with Bill of Materials (BOM) of a Food-Safety Compliant Facility Layout for Cabayaosan Farmers Agriculture Cooperative (CFAC)” held on June 1, 2023, at Cabayaosan, Paniqui, Tarlac. Its ultimate purpose was to improve the production and processing facilities of the mushroom chicharon of the beneficiaries, the Cabayaosan Farmers Agriculture Cooperative, and to apply for license to operate legally.

This extension project of CET – CE was composed of four (4) phases. The first phase, an on-site visit, which was held on January 12, 2023, and meetings to determine the project requirements. In the Planning and Implementation Phase, which was the second phase, the expert service providers, including Engr. Clarete, Engr. Layug, Engr. Reguindin, Engr. Dela Vega, Engr. Tatu and Engr. Policarpio, has started working on the design and drafting of architectural, structural, and plumbing plans. Afterward, a bill of materials (BOM) was prepared by the expert service providers. Presentation, the third phase, was held on June 1, 2023, where Engr. Layug represented the Civil Engineering Department. There, he discussed the output documents with the beneficiaries and partner agencies. Finally, for the fourth and last phase, the technical documents were submitted to the beneficiary.

This extension activity of CET – Civil Engineering Department contributes to Sustainable Development Goals (SDG); SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure since this activity allow the beneficiary to improve their production and processing facilities and SDG 17: Partnership for the Goals by establishing connections between TSU, DAR, and Cabayaoasan Farmer Agriculture Cooperative.
