The Office of Student Affairs and Services, in collaborative efforts with the Guidance Counseling Unit, Career Education and Job Placement Services, and Institutional Student Programs and Services Unit, wishes to expand its array of services in order to support and promote residents and house parents of Rehoboth Children’s Home Inc. in Camiling, Tarlac. The "Psychosocial Support and Intervention Extension Program: Counseling, Career Coaching/Advising, and Mental Health Support Services" initiative were intended to be a lengthy undertaking.
Since the OSAS also seeks to maintain the project's efficacy and efficiency, it must also take into account various initiatives and programs that could promote its partner beneficiaries in maximizing their full potential and strengthening their all-around personal development.
Through the expertise and assistance of Ms. Niña C. Garcia, the project's coordinator as well as additional registered guidance counselors and university faculties: Prof. Oliver G. Cura, Prof. Rosanna Pablico, Prof. Maria Sheila Medina, Prof. Rafael Andy Quiballo, Dr. Elsie Canlas, and Mr. Kenjie Yusi. Guidance counseling services assist students in recognizing their potential and discovering practical fixes for their difficulties in order to achieve this objective.
Career education and job placement services will offer career development workshops and motivate people to turn their interests, skills, and talents into prosperous careers and meaningful lives. Every person should have the freedom to select a fulfilling profession and educational route to put oneself in a position for long-term success.
Furthermore, the Institutional Student Programs and Services Unit may offer a variety of services to meet the unique needs of the beneficiaries, neglected, abandoned, orphaned, and other children and youth in need who are mentally and physically challenged and who will be admitted in accordance with the "Admission Policy" outlined in the "General Policies".
These youths may come from remote places far from schools, depriving them of their access to an education. Minorities from various tribes are also allowed, providing them with an equal chance to acquire their rights, particularly those related to a fair standard of life, protection, education, participation, and development.
Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good and Well-Being and Goal 17: Partnership for the Goals are aligned with and contributed from the long-term project of Student Affairs and Services. This long-term project places a focus on the Rehoboth Children's Home Inc. residents and house parents/staff by providing education through conducting seminars and training for the house parents which can help them to augment knowledge and awareness regarding social works and also by engaging in guidance counseling which can help to establish a rapport to know deeply about each resident's background life and could lead to a more positive relationship between the residents and house parents/staff.
