CBA conducts Skills Training on How to Make Flavored Banana Chips

The College of Business and Accountancy in partnership with Aranguren Integrated School conducts skills training to the  DSWD 4Ps beneficiaries of Aranguren, Capas, Tarlac today, November 21, 2022.

 

With the aimed to encourage the participants to produce and modify commodities from the available resources in the community, thirty- two (32) 4Ps beneficiaries attended the Skills Training on the Formulation and Process of Flavored Banana Chips. This activity  was led and facilitated by CBA  faculty experts namely: Ms. Emmery P. Balbas,  Mr. John Edward S. Estayo, Ms. Cristine Janelle M. Santiago, Mr. Aldrex G. Laxamana, and  Ms. Princes Carol L. Feliciano,

 

 Mr. Estayo and Ms. Balbas, who served as resource speakers, shared their expertise on the step-by-step procedure on How to Make Flavored Banana Chips, from Making salt- and cold-water solution down to the adding of flavourings or seasonings, to the participants. The facilitators then supervised the participants' return demonstration.

 

This activity contributes to Goals 4 (Quality Education) and 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) as it promotes lifelong knowledge and skills on the formulation of banana chips, as well as encourage participants to create and innovate businesses to advance financial progress. In addition, the said skills training supports Goal 2 (Zero Hunger) by ensuring the efficient operation of the food commodity markets, particularly in food preservation. As a result, the completed extension activity is contributory to Goals 2,4, and 8 of the SDG.
