The Tarlac State University – Center for Food Technology and Research (TSU-CFTR) Toll Processing Facility is now officially registered with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a Licensed Food Manufacturer, making it the first university-owned FDA-registered toll processing facility in the region.

This milestone enables the facility to support farmers and food business operators who lack access to FDA-compliant manufacturing facilities while providing students with an industry-like learning environment that offers hands-on experience and prepares them for careers in the food industry.

The achievement reflects TSU-CFTR's commitment to food safety, innovation, extension, and capacity building. It also strengthens collaboration among the academe, industry, and the community, reinforcing the University's role in promoting inclusive growth and sustainable development through research and extension.
