Engr. Emir Lenard SF. Sicangco and Ms. Vien Jamaica D. Samson of the Office of the University Extension Services (OUES) represented Dr. Arnold E. Velasco, TSU President at the Philippine Statistics Office’s Report on the 2022 Economic Performance of Central Luzon News Conference on April 27,2023 at The Orchid Garden, San Fernando, Pampanga. This was attended by various national government agencies, local government units, academic institutions, and other sectors in Region III.
The said news conference aims to present the 2022 Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) and Gross Regional Domestic Expenditure (GRDE) of Region III. According to the Regional Director of PSA RSSO R3, Ms. Arlene M. Divino, Central Luzon’s economy grew at 8.1 % from 7.4% in 2021, with a total of 2.81 trillion pesos of GRDP in 2022. The said result is hoped to increase in the coming year as we steer back from the economic losses in the past years due to the pandemic.
