Relative to VNHS’ priority to enhance the overall safety of the school, the CIT made sure that the three fire alarm systems were functional in order to help the school provide spatial awareness and proactive response in the event of an actual fire.
Tarlac State University College of Industrial Technology faculty experts, namely Prof. Bryan Christopher Sico, Prof. Erwin Sibal, Mr. Ray Vincent Sarabia, and Mr. Nino Enrico R. Bantolino, along with VNHS Faculty Coordinator Ms. Doan Joy Canlas Gabriel, assessed and inspected the school premises to identify the strategic areas for the installation of the alarm systems. Using a systematic approach, the TSU-COE faculty experts successfully installed the alarm systems in the Grade 7, 8, and 10 buildings at VNHS.
Meanwhile, Ms. Gabriel, the VNHS faculty coordinator, expressed her gratitude for the prompt response of the University to their request.
This Extension Activity is in response to the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) specifically SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure as part of the CIT’s efforts to provide technical assistance.
