BAHAY PARA SA PAOAY: TSU – COE DONATES COLLAPSIBLE HOUSE FOR SITIO PAOAY COMMUNITY

As part of the ongoing activity of the College of Engineering’s (COE) - Community Development Programs and Projects (CDEPP), the Civil Engineering Department implemented a consultancy and an outreach program for the Sitio Paoay Community on December 2, 2023.

This extension activity under COE-CDEPP intends to uplift the quality of life of the chosen community as well as to help focus on upskilling and providing that can lead to Sitio Paoay having a source of or a form of livelihood to have sufficient income to satisfy their basic food and non-food needs.  Expert Service Providers (ESPs) commenced this activity by constructing the pedestal and preparing the placement of the pedestal, this includes the excavation; led by Engr. Edwin Dela Vega, along with Engr. Leonides Tatu, Engr. Randy Policarpio, Engr. Ryan Layug, Engr. Bonjoebee Bello, and Engr. Orlando Sico.  

Subsequently, the Assembly and installation of the collapsible house at the top of the pedestal and a donation of the Collapsible House were carried out with the collaboration and assistance of Newly Registered Civil Engineers and COE-Alumni including, Engr. Stephanie Joy Antonio Engr. Anthony Glenn Geolin, Engr. Sheryl Cayabyab, Engr. Gabrielle Angela Gabriel and Mr. Renz Mark Buhalog.  From the year 2021 to the present, the community received a total of six (6) foldable houses. 

“Maraming salamat po sa walang sawang pagbibigay niyo ng bahay dito sa lugar namin, makakatulog na po kami sa mas komportable na bahay”- Sitio Paoay, Beneficiary 

Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities have been executed since the implementing college provided an adequate, safe, and comfortable house for the Sitio, Paoay Community.
