Extensionists from the TSU College of Business and Accountancy successfully rendered their extension service in four communities in Tarlac last April 2 and 4, 2022.

Aiming to provide support to the IP communities, faculty experts provided interventions under economic development by conducting a seminar on Community-based Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development under the e-CEST Project.

On April 2, the involved faculty experts went to San Clemente and Mayantoc, Tarlac, to conduct entrepreneurial training for the IP communities of the mentioned municipalities.

Mr. Fabian P. Seguira, OIC-Dean of the CBA, was present and served as one of the speakers/trainers. Moreover, Dr. Brendalyn A. Manzano, the project leader of e-CEST, was also present to oversee the said activity.

Meanwhile, on April 4, two different groups went to San Jose and Bamban, Tarlac, to conduct the same training.

Representatives from the DOST-PSTC Tarlac and ESMO were also present to assist the ESPS and monitor the implementation of the project.

With this, the CBA has officially kicked off the Economic Development and Livelihood Opportunities entry point with Ms. Christine Janelle M. Santiago as the entry point coordinator.

This completed extension activity of the CBA contributes to goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Agenda.
