CPAG hosts webinar about raising awareness on Mental health

Tarlac State University through College of Public Administration and Governance conducted a webinar entitled " Human Relations in Workplace Amidst Covid-19 Pandemic" via Zoom Video Conferencing on August 06, 2022.

The mentioned activity was participated by a total of eighty-seven (87) professionals from different public and private sectors with the purpose of

Faculties from CPAG namely Dr. Patricia Ann Estrada, Dr. Alfred Rigor, and Mr. Arturo V. Panzo served as the technical facilitators. Mr. Arthur G. Sotto and Mr. Paulo L. Apolinar, both employees of Department of Education, then served as resource speakers. Stress Management and the importance of self-care were the focused of the discussion. During the conversation, issues like the impact of stress on human emotions and behavior, as well as coping mechanisms, were also covered.

Dr. Rigor gave his insights during the open forum session. He gave a glimpse of the difference of anxiety and depression, as well as stress and passion. He then discussed the importance of SSS (Self, Social, and Societal) care to human’s life. The seminar made sure that the attendees would actively participate. Ice breakers, mini games, and video presentations were done during the activity.

Finally, the seminar was concluded by Dr. Estrada by quoting one of Han Selye's famous line "The only person without stress is a dead person" in the hopes that it had helped professionals from different private and public sectors understand the value of mental health awareness.

The completed Extension activity of CPAG is contributory to Goal 3(Good Health and Well-being) of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) agenda as it promotes mental and emotional awareness to the participants, as well as providing effective support that guards against long-term mental health problems.
