Tarlac State University - College of Arts and Social Sciences administered a psychological exam to the incoming seminarians at Our Lady of Peace College Seminary (OLCPS), a private, sectarian school specializing in Philosophy for those who want to pursue priesthood.

Ms. Laarni Capinding, a faculty expert from the CASS Psychology Department and the guidance counselor of OLCPS spearheaded the said psychological exam, which aimed to understand the developmental, psychological, and other factors that can strengthen or hinder an individual's vocational discernment. The said exam could also help predict whether a candidate can live a healthy life as a priest and be effective in ministry.

Furthermore, this evaluation can help identify the candidates' intellectual, character and spiritual strengths as they learn to have Christ as the center of their lives.

The first part of the exam focused on general reasoning, while the last part was to test their personality as individuals.

Ms. Capinding was also joined by some TSU AB Psychology students.

This completed extension activity of CASS contributes to goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) of the Sustainable Development Goals Agenda.
