OUES concludes 2023 with 4th Quarter Meeting

As part of the initiative to monitor Tarlac State University's 2023 targets in extension, the Office of the University Extension Services (OUES) convened the College Extension Department Heads (CEDHs) for the 4th Quarter Meeting.

Engr. Emir Lenard S.F. Sicangco, OUES director, has commended the exemplary performance of the CEDHs for realizing their respective college's targets for 2023.
Apart from the accomplishments, the OUES has dealt with policy development that would further improve the system and procedures of the Office to better serve the Expert Service Providers of the University.
Foreseeing relevant plans for the coming years, Ms. Jay Ann L. Pablo, department head of the Planning and Performance Management Department, discussed the extension targets for 2024 and forthcoming initiatives and highlighted the Community Development Extension Program and Project PPMP for 2025.
Meanwhile, Mr. Aljon Lusong, department head of the Extension Service Management Department, addressed concerns related to the extension processes. These concerns included issues encountered in the past year regarding the implementation of extension projects, student and faculty involvement, documentation of discrepancies, issues regarding the memorandum of agreement, and other extension-related concerns.
Lastly, Mr. Jhayvi C. Dizon, department head of the Technology and Knowledge Management Department, provided an update from their unit regarding the release of the IEC Materials for the quarter of concern. He also reiterated that the department will take on the initiative to produce all the IEC materials for all Colleges that would strengthen the University's Extension Profile.
The meeting concluded with a call for long-term extension program/project proposals for the year 2024. Furthermore, issues and concerns raised by the respective College Extension Department Heads were addressed by Engr. Sicangco and the OUES Department Heads.
The commitment of OUES and the dedication of the CEDHs emphasizes the importance of these quarterly meetings steering the direction of the University's Extension Services. The 4th Quarter CEDHs Meeting is not just a reflection of the past but a strategic planning for the future, ensuring that the university continues to make a meaningful impact through its extension initiatives.
