The Financial Literacy and Outreach Activity was conducted at the DSWD Tarlac Home for Women through the collaborative efforts of JFINEX and the Office of Gender and Development (OGAD), with Ms. Christine Janelle M. Santiago serving as the resource speaker and Ms. Jovy Tomas as the facilitator.
The activity aimed to empower the women residents by equipping them with essential knowledge and skills in basic financial management and responsible financial decision-making. Ms. Santiago delivered an engaging and interactive lecture that provided practical insights into budgeting, saving, and financial planning, while Ms. Tomas effectively facilitated the program and encouraged active participation throughout the session.
In addition to the financial literacy discussion, the outreach component of the activity provided psychosocial support and fostered an environment of care, encouragement, and inclusivity among the participants.
Overall, the activity successfully promoted financial awareness, personal empowerment, and social support while strengthening the partnership between the organizing institutions and the DSWD Tarlac Home for Women.
