On January 18, 2025, the Tarlac State University College of Computer Studies (TSU-CCS) successfully conducted an extension activity titled "Digital Bridges: Unleashing the Power of Online Collaboration Tools for TUC" at the CCS Building. This activity aimed to empower members of the Tarlac Union of Cooperatives (TUC) with essential digital skills, focusing on the effective use of modern collaboration tools to enhance communication, project management, and productivity within their organization.
This seminar was designed to help TUC strengthen its operational efficiency and adapt to the fast-evolving demands of the digital era. By equipping participants with knowledge and skills in online collaboration, the program sought to create a more interconnected and efficient cooperative environment.
The program featured two expert service providers from TSU-CCS who delivered insightful sessions: Ms. Ronilyn M. Telan shared her expertise on Google Meet and the creation of email accounts, emphasizing the importance of these tools in facilitating virtual meetings and professional communication. Mr. Jerico S. Baladhay provided an in-depth discussion on the Zoom Application, highlighting its features and practical uses for seamless online collaboration.
To ensure the program’s smooth execution, Dr. Alvincent Danganan, Ms. Jo Anne G. Cura, and students from Society Information Technology Education (SSITE) were actively involved in facilitating the activity. Their guidance and support contributed significantly to the success of the event, fostering an engaging and interactive learning environment for TUC members.
Through this seminar, TUC members gained valuable insights and hands-on experience in using online collaboration tools. These skills are expected to enhance their ability to communicate effectively, manage projects efficiently, and stay connected in a digital-first world. By embracing these tools, TUC can now better meet the challenges of modern cooperative management and continue to thrive in the digital age.
