TSU Office of Extension Services Holds Exploratory Meeting with ABSNET

The Office of University Extension Services (OUES) of Tarlac State University (TSU) has conducted an exploratory meeting with the Area-Based Standards Network (ABSNET) on February 19, bringing together 16 organizations of Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-registered, licensed, and accredited Social Welfare and Development Agencies (SWDAs).
The meeting, aimed at strengthening collaboration and exploring potential partnership opportunities, was attended by key representatives from various social welfare organizations, including Rehoboth Children's Home, Tarlac Home for Women, DSWD Lingap Center, and Caritas, Discussions centered on aligning community service initiatives, capacity-building programs, and enhancing the delivery of social welfare services through academic partnerships.
Through OUES, the TSU reaffirmed its commitment to fostering meaningful engagement between the university and social service institutions, emphasizing the role of community outreach programs in addressing social issues.
This initiative marks a step forward in bridging the gap between academic institutions and social development agencies, ensuring that collaborative efforts contribute to more impactful community-based solutions.
