The 𝗜𝗹𝘂𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 is an agricultural cooperative located in Purok 4, Barangay Pio, Porac, Pampanga. The cooperative engages in various agricultural activities and has been featured in local media for its contributions to the community. Additionally, Ilug Kamalig serves as a venue for cultural events, such as the Kampapasi Arts Fest, highlighting its role in promoting local culture and the arts. Meanwhile, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗡𝘂𝘁'𝘀 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘂𝘁 𝗕𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 is a locally made peanut butter brand based in Magalang, Pampanga, Philippines. It is known for producing high-quality peanut butter made from 100% pure peanuts, ensuring a rich and natural taste without extenders or excessive oil content.
These extension projects aim to assist the Ilug Kamalig Agriculture Cooperative and Mr. Nut's Peanut Butter in developing a facility layout plan that aligns with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) standards. The project will be a crucial step in supporting their application for a License to Operate (LTO) from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). By ensuring compliance with CGMP, the proposed layout will enhance operational efficiency, promote food safety, and improve product quality. This initiative reflects the Industrial Engineering Department's commitment to empowering local agricultural producers with technical expertise to meet regulatory requirements and foster sustainable growth.
