Mr. Aljon N. Lusong tackled personal hygiene, proper food storage, prevention of food contamination, and kitchen sanitation. He emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness at every stage of food preparation and shared the best food safety practices that child development centers can effectively implement.
This seminar is especially timely and beneficial in support of the Supplemental Feeding Program implemented in the CDWs’ respective centers. As mandated by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the program is carried out in partnership with volunteer parents, making food safety knowledge crucial in ensuring the health and well-being of the children served.
