The Center for Community and Local Governance Studies and Policy Development (CCLGSPD) met with U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer Mr. Nico Jeroski and Mr. Vish Juvvadi on May 22, 2025, to discuss their support for two key programs: Project START and Project CARE.
Project START (Sustainable Training Assistance and Revitalized Teaching) focuses on enhancing the training of Child Development Workers (CDWs). During the meeting, the group reviewed project plans and the upcoming training sessions. Mr. Jeroski and Mr. Juvvadi shared valuable insights and expressed their support for the initiative.
For Project CARE (Consultancy and Research on Localizing Child Protection Policy), the discussion centered on how the volunteers could contribute diverse perspectives to strengthen research and help improve child protection policies tailored to the local context.
Also present at the meeting were Dr. Cynthia G. Quiambao, Dr. Lea B. Milan, Engr. Emir Lenard S. F. Sicangco, Ms. Vien Jamaica D. Samson, Mr. Aljon N. Lusong, and Ms. Kate T. Tagara. The meeting marked a promising step toward stronger collaboration between local governance stakeholders and international volunteers in pursuit of shared development goals.
