On September 5, 2025, the Center for Community and Local Governance Studies and Policy Development (CCLGSPD) convened a meeting via Zoom with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officers (MSWDOs) of Anao, Ramos, and Pura to present the research findings of the CARE Project, or Consultancy and Research in Localizing Child Protection Policy.
The session was led by Ms. Vien Jamaica D. Samson, Project Head of the CARE Project, and focused on validating the gathered data and analyzing the results of the study. The CARE Project aims to strengthen child protection initiatives at the local level by aligning national policies with the unique needs and contexts of the municipalities. The dialogue provided an opportunity for the MSWDOs to share their insights, ensuring that the study reflects ground realities and supports evidence-based policymaking in safeguarding children’s rights and welfare.
