The College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) held an Online Orientation on Crafting Extension Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs) today. Engr. Emir Lenard S.F. Sicangco, Director of the Office of University Extension Services (OUES), was invited as the speaker on February 7, 2025.
Dr. Aloysius T. Madriaga, College Dean, welcomed the participants and speaker. Dr. Grace Anne C. Hasegawa, College Extension Department Head, introduced Engr. Sicangco. Mr. Derich M. Bognot, College Extension Coordinator, moderated the session.
Engr. Sicangco shared insights on best practices, guidelines, and strategies for successful extension projects. The session covered key topics such as Extension Program Structure, Proposal Writing, and Funding Opportunities. Participants also engaged in a Q&A session to clarify questions on program development.
Dr. Myrel M. Santiago, Chairperson of the Department of English Language Studies, expressed her appreciation for the session, saying, “This orientation provided us with the tools and strategies we need to design extension projects that are both impactful and sustainable. The knowledge we gained today will help us make a real difference in the communities we serve.”
