On September 19, 2025, Don Casimiro G. TaΓ±edo Integrated School in Brgy. Baculong, Victoria, Tarlac teamed up with the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management, College of Business and Accountancy from Tarlac State University to hold an exciting Technical Analysis on Product Development. Their talented students proudly presented their creative food products like Mighty Moringa Cookies, Tropikamote Juice, Kalaboostan Dumplings, and Spicy Kangkong Chimchy to a panel of experts. With the guidance of Mr. Sherwin Gragasin and support from consultants, Dr. Criselda Tonelada, Ms. Kim Tabelon, Ms. Dianne Tejano, Mr. Ferdinand Silaran, Ms. Emmery, and Mr. John Edward Estayo, the students showed detailed videos of how their products are made.
The consultants shared helpful and thoughtful feedback, focusing on ways to improve product quality, health benefits, packaging, and pricing. They suggested things like cutting down on sugar, trying out alternative ingredients, fine-tuning cooking methods, and adjusting prices to better fit the local market. This valuable input not only helped students improve their products but also gave them a deeper understanding of marketing strategies and real-world business challenges. It was truly an opportunity for them to build confidence and sharpen their skills.
This collaboration between Don Casimiro G. TaΓ±edo Integrated School and Tarlac State University highlights a shared commitment to supporting young innovators and connecting education with the industry. By giving students hands-on experience and expert advice, the program prepares them to become socially responsible, market-ready professionals who can confidently face future opportunities in the food and hospitality industries.
