𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐚 @𝟏𝟓𝟎 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 | On October 21, 2025, the Center for Community and Local Governance Studies and Policy Development (CCLGSPD) conducted a coordination meeting with the Office of Innovation and Business Development (OIBD) and the Center for Food Technology and Research (CFTR) to discuss the preservation and intellectual property protection of the Municipality of Moncada’s cultural properties. The meeting was held under the @150: Preserving Moncada’s Heritage Project, a collaborative initiative dedicated to safeguarding the municipality’s historical and cultural identity.
The meeting focused on safeguarding Moncada’s rich cultural assets, which include the La Jota Moncadeña, Awit ng Moncada, Polka Moncadeña, and Puto Moncada. Each cultural property was evaluated in terms of ownership, cultural significance, and potential for intellectual property registration.
The meeting highlighted the shared commitment of CCLGSPD, OIBD, and CFTR to assist the Municipality of Moncada in preserving its cultural heritage through research-based policies and innovation-driven strategies. This collaborative effort ensures that Moncada’s cultural legacy remains protected and valued for future generations.
