Students gathered at the Tarlac State University Food Technology Research AVR on February 19 to take part in Volunteerism Day through an event called Impact: Empowering Student-Volunteers for Meaningful Change. Organized by the League of Prospective English Educators Organization, the event encouraged students to take on leadership roles and make a difference in their communities.
The main highlight of the program was a talk by Dr. Francelle L. Calub, who discussed the basics of volunteerism, its importance in helping communities, and how students can get involved in meaningful work. Mr. Juvvadi, a Peace Corps volunteer, also shared his experiences working in various communities, giving students a glimpse of what it’s like to serve in international volunteer programs.
The event inspired students to take action and emphasized the value of teamwork in making a lasting impact through volunteerism.
