Project Aytalakad Ing Lahi Holds Key Meeting with US Peace Corps Volunteers for Community Development

November 7, 2024 — The University Extension Office at Lucinda Campus hosted an important meeting between Project Aytalakad Ing Lahi and US Peace Corps Volunteers to discuss plans for enhancing community development in Sitio Manabayukan, Capas, Tarlac. The meeting was attended by Dr. Francelle L. Calub, Project Head, and Engr. Emir Sicangco, Director of the Office of University Extension. This exploratory session aims to deepen collaboration with the US Peace Corps, who have previously engaged in Aytalakd Ing Lahi activities, notably during the recent Aytaligsahan event.

Dr. Calub provided an extensive overview of Project Aytalakad Ing Lahi, emphasizing the project’s mission to support and uplift the local community. Key issues discussed included the need for reliable access to clean water and initiatives to improve electricity infrastructure. This meeting marks a pivotal step in planning sustainable solutions to address these community needs.
