The Office of University Extension Services (OUES) have completed the Training-Workshop on Research Methods for Community Extension Services (CES) organized by the Association of Scholarly Editors in Tagbilaran, Bohol, last May 16-17.
The training-workshop was attended by the TSU delegation headed by the Vice President for Research Development and Extension Dr. Murphy P. Mohammed and the OUES Director Engr. Emir Lenard S.F. Sicangco.
The OUES Department Heads Ms. Jay Ann L. Pablo and Mr. Jhayvi C. Dizon together with Prof. David Lip, Prof. Christine Janelle M. Santiago, and Mr. Renz Paul Quiambao were also present in the two-day activity.
The workshop highlighted the utilization of Artificial Intelligence which may serve as a springboard in comprehensively writing CES researches.
Dr. Genaro V. Japos, the guest speaker for the said training, shared his valuable experiences and insights on CES research writing noting that the use of AI may only be efficient when used responsibly.
Workshops during the activity included the use of AI platforms in improving the Extension Agenda of the University and the crafting of CES proposals solely taking information and references from the online databases such as TSU's website and portal.
