The Office of University Extension Services (OUES) recently held its third quarterly meeting with the College Extension Department Heads (CEDHs) at the Food Technology Research Center Building. The meeting aimed to evaluate completed extension initiatives and plan strategies for enhancing the university’s extension efforts.
Engr. Emir Lenard S.F. Sicangco, OUES Director, presided over the meeting, with support from department heads Mr. Aljon N. Lusong and Ms. Jay Ann L. Pablo. Mr. Lusong provided updates on newly approved extension guidelines and policies, while Ms. Pablo discussed the 3rd Quarter college extension accomplishments. Key topics included the implementation of Extension Credit Hours for faculty, upcoming capacity-building activities, and the release of the quarterly issue of Vantage.
Engr. Sicangco also welcomed newly appointed CEDHs from the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE), the College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS), and the College of Computer Studies (CCS). He encouraged them to contribute to innovative and impactful extension programs in line with the university's mission.
The meeting emphasized the importance of faculty involvement in extension services, ensuring support through ongoing capacity development initiatives. The release of Vantage was highlighted as a tool to further document and promote the university's extension achievements.
The session concluded with a renewed commitment from the CEDHs and OUES staff to uphold the university’s vision of delivering inclusive and community-centered extension programs.
