OUES efforts receive recognition for contributions to International Rankings

Two extension projects, one extension funding program, and one office innovation were recognized for their contributions to the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2024 while the two OUES personnel were recognized for their contributions to the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2024, during the TSU Quality Journey Recognition Program organized by the Office of Quality Assurance.

TSU has achieved impressive placements in the WURI, securing 39th place in Crisis Management for the extension project titled, Value Chain Commodity Development through Community Empowerment and Science and Technology (CEST) Program for Indigenous Peoples, led by Dr. Brendalyn A. Manzano; and 52nd place in funding for the Social Action on Reforms and Assistance Programs to Victims of Poverty and Disasters (SARAP) Tumulong Program of the OUES.

In addition, the Interactive Food Safety (iFS) Project led by Dr. Lea B. Milan and represented by Mr. Aljon N. Lusong; and the Project Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting System (PMERS) led by Mr. Jo-Andrew G. Agustin were also recognized as official entries for Industrial Application and Infrastructure and Technology, respectively.

Engr. Emir Lenard S.F. Sicangco and Ms. Jay Ann L. Pablo also received certificates of appreciation for their notable contributions as Chairperson and member, respectively, of the THE Impact Rankings 2024 Committee of the university.

It can be recalled that TSU ranked 279th in the WURI Global Top 300 Innovative Universities and received a 1,001+ ranking for SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth in the THE Impact Rankings.
