Expert service providers from the TSU – College of Teacher Education TLE Department conducted a 2-day skill training on empanada and sweet potato buchi making last May 2 and 7 at Mayantoc and San Clemente, Tarlac.

Aimed to provide additional source of income, fifty IPs were taught how to make empanada and buchi which they can sell in their respective communities.

Dr. Elsie M. Canlas, faculty from CTED, served as resource speaker and demonstrator. She demonstrated the step-by-step process of making empanda and buchi.

The participants were then grouped into three and were tasked to make their own empanada and buchi.

This completed extension activity of CTEd contributes to goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) of the Sustainable Development Goals Agenda.
