GAD conducts webinar on Gender Education: The Role of Teachers in a Gender-Responsive School

In line with the National Women’s Month celebration, the TSU - Gender and Development conducted a webinar on gender education for Matatalaib High School teachers on March 18 via Zoom Meeting.

The webinar aims to enhance the teachers' ability to identify and analyze gender barriers in education and find solutions to address such through programs and policies in the context of a pandemic.

Ms. Sheila Jane Gonzales, faculty expert and GAD coordinator from the College of Business and Accountancy, served as resource speaker. She discussed the gender-responsive framework and issues, gaps, challenges and solutions during the time of the pandemic.

The said webinar was attended by 40 participants.

The completed extension activity of the GAD & CBA contributes to goals 4 (Quality Education), 5 (Gender Equality) and 10 (Reduced Inequalities), which are part of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Agenda.
