Tarlac State University - Food Technology and Research Center rolled out the 2022 DOST Interactive Food Safety (iFS) Consultancy Services on April 28 at Baler, Aurora, for the first FBO beneficiary- the Madison's Cafe and on May 2 at Angeles and Mexico, Pampanga for the FBO beneficiaries – Akita Herbal Products, and John N Mico Food Products.
The food safety experts from the TSU – FTRC conducted a food safety assessment that will serve as the basis for crafting the S & T intervention plan that will address the identified food safety concerns of the FBO.
iFS Consultancy FBOs of Region 3 is an annual Food Safety Program of the Department of Science and Technolgy-3 in response to food safety and security of the country.
For 2022, DOST-3 had selected four (4) FBOs as program beneficiaries in the provinces of Tarlac, Pampanga, and Aurora.
